Review Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX30V Camera Introduction:

Sony is proud to announce a new H-Series high-zoom CyberShot digital camera. The Sony CyberShot DSC-HX30V makes it easy to capture crisp, beautiful photos and Full HD videos from a variety of distances. Ideal for travel photography or simply capturing everyday content, the new Sony DCS-HX30V is equipped with a 20x optical zoom lens. The ultra-thin lens of the Sony DSC-HX30V enhances zoom capabilities while still maintaining a small, compact body. Additionally, the Sony CyberShot DSC-HX30V features Wi-Fi capabilities, allowing for seamless transfer of photos to compatible smartphones, tablets or televisions and sharing via popular social networking services. For a camera of its size, the Sony Cyber-shot HX30V includes a good number of physical controls. There's a physical mode dial up top, along with a zoom rocker and shutter release. The rear panel houses controls for the Drive Mode, Flash, and video recording. There's a Custom button that can be programmed to adjust EV Compensation, ISO, White Balance, Metering, or the Smile Shutter set it to control EV when shooting with the camera, as that is an extremely useful feature. Other common settings are adjusted by hitting the Menu button. This brings up an overlay menu, which occupies the left side of the display, and provides quick access to ISO, Picture Effects, White Balance, Focus, Metering, and others.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX30V Camera Features:

The new 20x zoom "AA" lens element in the Sony CyberShot DSC-HX30V produces outstanding results with a design drastically smaller than comparable 20x lenses in previous models. The thinly-designed lens, which requires highly sophisticated glass molding to create, allows the camera body to remain as compact as possible. In addition to its strong zoom capabilities, the new "AA" lens can focus at a minimum distance of approximately 1cm for stunning, clear macro shots. The new Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX30V Camera Charger model features Wi-Fi capabilities, allowing it to link directly and transfer content to a variety of compatible devices including smartphones, tablets and televisions. Using the new Play Memories Mobile application from Sony, images can then be shared easily from the host device on Facebook, YouTube and other popular sharing sites. The Play Memories app is currently available for free download on both the iTunes app store and Android Market.
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX30V Camera Review
The new Sony CyberShot DSC-HX30V camera incorporates a 18.2 MP "Exmore R" CMOS sensor, the highest resolution sensor currently offered in the mainstream "point and shoot" market. The new image sensor teams with an advanced BIONZ processor to deliver blazing fast Autofocus speeds of approximately 0.13 seconds in daylight and 0.21 seconds in low-light shooting situations, measured at 3 EV. Additionally, the new Sony DSC-HX30V features "Clear Image Zoom" digital zoom technology, which boosts optical zoom to 2x virtual capabilities while maintaining full resolution. The Sony CyberShot DSC-HX30V is equipped with "Optical Steady Shot" to reduce any blurring caused by camera shake during shooting - even with the zoom extended - as well as some creative photographic settings. In addition to sharpness, image noise is a major factor in determining photo quality. If you set a camera's sensitivity to light, measured in ISO, too high, image noise can add graininess and sap detail. The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX30V Battery Charger keeps noise under 1.5 percent through a respectable ISO 800, and more impressively photos at that setting retain a good amount of detail. Video is captured in AVCHD format at 1080p60 or 1080i60 quality at a few different bit rates including a one that maximizes recording time, but grabs video at a resolution that is not fully HD. As long as you don't opt for 60p, you'll also be able to capture 13-megapixel stills while recording video.
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX30V Camera Features
The footage is crisp and bright, and the camera can zoom and focus while rolling footage. The sound of the lens moving in and out is only barely audible on the soundtrack. If you have a Wi-Fi enabled TV, you can view photos wirelessly, and there's also a standard mini HDMI port for those of us still struggling with wired televisions. There's no dedicated battery charger included; to recharge the camera, you'll have to plug it into an outlet via the included micro USB cable and AC adapter. In addition to standard SD, SDHC, and SDXC memory cards, Sony's Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick PRO Duo, and Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo are supported. If you're in the market for a compact camera with a long lens, and money isn't an object, the full-featured DSC-HX30V Sony Camera Charger is the way to go. It delivers excellent image quality, automatically geodes your photos, and can transfer shots to your iPhone or Android phone via Wi-Fi. It nabs our Editors' Choice for compact super zoom cameras.
